So last year for Halloween, I saw a Harry Potter, a vampire and a clown. This year, a friend decided to come to class today dressed up as a tiger. He was in full costume, but it was the cheesy cartoon-ish kind of tiger costume, and make-up carrying the smallest book bag I've ever seen! It was really quite a funny sight but I didn't want to sound mean so I just told him, "Great costume!" He seemed quite proud. The dear boy.
Guess what! I spent 3 and 1/2 hours in line all just to colour in 4 teeny tiny circles.
YES! I VOTED TODAY!
Not as scary an experience as I thought it might be. Not going to tell you who I voted for, cos that's suppose to be private and personal right? ;p It's amazing how many people you get to talk to standing in line for 3 and 1/2 hours. Old folks, young folks, older kids, younger kids (I pity the kids most cos they don't really have to be there). So I spent the day exchanging stories with so many people, time passed pretty fast. Imagine how long the line will be on voting day itself! Now I'm quite excited to see who will be our next President. Just cos.
The guy who drove us to go vote was telling us how he had a colleague who quit his job, moved from NY, just to come here and VOLUNTEER for Obama. VOLUNTEER! The passion! The dedication! I wonder what is he going to do with his life come Nov. 4th when the entire elections is over and he finds himself with a lot of free time on his hands.
SMASHING PUMPKINS playing today! How apt. Too bad tickets were sold out 4 hrs after they went on sale.

She says she doesn't care, because she cares the most
She says it doesn't matter, because it means the world
She says "as long as you're happy", because she's breaking down inside
She says she prefers a fantasy, because her reality she's lost sight
She says she loves to watch lovers, because they feed her loneliness
She says she knows they love her, because any otherwise would end this verse
She says she trust them with her life, because in danger she'll never be
She says she'll be there for them always, because her help they'll never need
She says she never does anything she'll regret, because she's accepted come what may
She says she never says things she'll take back, because she never speaks her heart anyway
