Meet you there

In a couple of hours, I'll be on my way to Cincinnati for a meet for the weekend. I'm going to need all the well-wishes and prayers anyone can offer. I boldly made the decision to take my girls out of the Intermediate category and have them compete at the Age Group level, against the VP's, ex-head coach's and one parent's wishes. So you can imagine how important this weekend is going to be. This would be first time in the club's history the girls are competing at the Age Group level. I have every faith in my girls (not so much the judges), they know what they're doing. I just wish they would take the meets a little more seriously. We had a last practice today and they were still playing a fool, which stressed me out a little. Then again, they are still very young kids.

Oh, I slipped on ice yesterday and landed smack on my tush and right wrist, spread eagle (embarrassing!) and my wrist is hurting today. Can't exert too much pressure on it. My fault actually. I foolishly thought that since the weather was warming up, most of the ice on the roads would be slush by now, so I went around stomping on all the ice patches. And I was right, it was all slush! Until I got to this one ice patch just outside my apartment building door. Stepped on it and swoosh! thud! The next moment, I found myself sitting on the floor. I think I might have even sprained a neck muscle trying to keep my balance cos now, I can't turn my head left without it hurting. Sometimes, I just don't think, or rather, I don't know what I was thinking!

Come down from your pedestal.
