The end of summer is in sight and I anticipate the arrival of MY season - Fall!
No doubt the start of school does add a little damper to my spirit but just take a look at the new fall lines! Definitely more than enough to raise hell in my closet. Needless to say I am looking for every excuse to pick up my purse and hit the mall. But unlike those Hollywood Fashionistas, an ordinary city girl like me is resigned to hampering after Cavalli and Lagerfield in Vogue and reduced to the racks of cheap knock-offs. Still, I can appreciate, and am grateful to, the little joys of rummaging through the racks of Forever 21, Topshop and Zara, albeit it's nothing compared to shopping at Paragon. Plus, in my quest of mix-matching to mirror those runway looks, I usually end up finding a different style unique to me. Fashion is not all trend I guess.
Living in a Disney-Teen-Idol-Worship world, it's High School Musical overload. Sure, I watched and loved (yes, I loved it!) the first of this two-part phenomenon, but contrary to what the Disney's publicists had hoped to get out of it, the gossips surrounding Part Two and the releasing of the second album before the premier of the show, has me totally jaded and I have lost every single interest in the show to the point, I've boycotted it altogether! I blame Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens actually. Congratulations on their getting together but need they display it all over the tube? Yes, I know they're characters are suppose to be in love as well but they're on-screen chummi-ness sickens me. Maybe it's because I'm jealous. It's Fall, soon-to-be Winter. I want someone to chummy/cozy up too!!
