orientation

if there's one thing that i've learnt here, it's that if you need anything, anything at all, there will definitely be someone who can help you. you can take your time to try and fit clothes or shoes and the attendant would be more than happy to help you. and even if you don't end up buying anything, they'll still thank you for dropping by at the end of the day. in any restaurant, the chef welcomes any special request/s that you might have, eg adding eggs to a steak, a caesar salad with honey mustard dressings instead, cheeseburger without the onions, pickles and tomato but with jalepenos instead. stuff like that, so that you would get to eat exactly what you want, however you want. even my advisor in school, was so happy that i was voicing out what exactly i wanted to do for the first sem. she originally reccomended me for a sociology elective but i told her i wanted something else instead. so she sat at the comp for fifteen minutes, looking for every elective available for me to choose. she ended up with a long list and i ended up doing something i wanna do. ( i picked a music theory class which i'm gonna totally ace. haha. i wanted to do intro to film, but that wasn't available. and the jap class was full too.) and EVERYONE here ends the conversation with one of the following two. 1) you're VERY welcome! or 2) having a fantastic day! even though half the time we might be strangers, but hearing stuff like that can really brighten up your day. makes you feel good inside.

anyway, i've got my class schedule yesterday. my busiest days would be mon and wed. tues, thurs i've only got three classes and fri only two. not too bad. the lastest i end school would be at three in the afternoon. bought my books yesterday too. came up to $500++!! and they were all used too!! the killer one was when i had to buy a cd for the music elective class. it cost $100. cos each student had to have their own copy so used ones were not allowed. they were all new. then my mom was like you have to have rethink if you wanna do music. but i checked out what i had to get for the other electives, three books costing more than $100. so we stuck with music.

my sister joined me for my orientation and now my sister's thinking of staying here and working until she gets to start school in august. but she's not decided yet. haha. we'll see.
