kiss

you should have seen the state of my mom's centre yesterday. it was a cryfest! this boy, cheng yuan, brought a vcd to the centre today for all the kids to watch. it was the local film, dui bu qi lao shi (i'm sorry teacher), starring chen li ping. i thought it was probably another film like i not stupid so i didn't really think much of it. i loved i not stupid one and two, but three films on singapore's education system was a bit much. boy, was i was wrong. the film wasn't about singapore's education. it was about a teacher's love for her students. the story was tragic and touched hearts, just like the other local films did, strong and deep. it was the first time all the kids at the centre were paying attention to something. for that whole two hours, all the kids and teachers didn't do anything but just sat and watched the film in silence. it ended with every upper primary kid being reduced to tears because the film was so moving yet true. a lot of them could relate to the film, many having come from not-your-average families themselves. the rowdy, rude, boisterous lot of them were crying and crying. the lower primary kids, although caught the gist of the film, were not really bothered by the film - to them it was just another movie. but after seeing the other kids cry, i think they were thinking long and hard about what the film was trying to tell them. i'll never forget that moment.

to add to the tears, have a look at this. cry your eyes out. kiss
