national celebrations

i am ticked off.very ticked off.let me tell you why.

this morning in school,we were suppose to celebrate national day.i was in school bright [well not really,it was raining so quite dark.] and early,sitting in the rows allocated to my class for morning assembly.then,at 730am,the discipline teachers came up to the lt and started chasing the j2s down to the first half of the lt.i was seated at the first row of the second half of the lt.and there were NO more seats in the first half.but nooo..they still wanted us to move down,pushing us to the hall and front of the lt.but because they weren't looking at us,my class thought we were alright so we didn't move.then they came shouting at us "why?your butt glued to the seat ah?cannot move is it?must sit there ah?don't make me shout at you so early in the morning!" [she was already shouting mind you.] so ok.we move.we walked down the stairs and then came to a row of empty seats.so i was counting the number of seats and the number of people who turned up in my class.counting countin counting i heard someone shout from behind "so you still don't want to move is it?must i push you to your seat?standing there also no use you know!" so ok.i gave up counting and just went up to the hall,found half a row of empty seats and sat down.so early in the morning!totally ruined my day.

as if that wasn't bad enough,miss sng,the band teacher was mc for the day.so before the GOH arrived,in front of all the parents,she started going on about when was the appropriate time to clap and when we should sing and stuff and how we should observe the solemnity of the whole ceremony [as if we didn't know all that already.].then she gave everyone a toilet break.told us to be quick.i suppose we weren't quick enough cos then she said "the definition of quick is brisk you know." you thought that was bad?listen to what she said at the end of the whole event. "i would like to thank you all very much for your ADMIRABLE ENDEAVOUR TO BE CIVILISED HUMAN CREATURES." !!!!! that was the ultimate!if only she wasn't a teacher and i a student.she's so sarcastic and nasty!and to top it all off,i am pms-ing today.i was so looking forward to having a good national day celebration.that was the whole reason why i bothered to come to school in the first place!

this year's celebrations were nothing compared to last year's.last year's was soooo much fun!by the end of the whole event,everyone was jumping and singing on chairs and cheering,waving national day flags!what happened this year?no one singing,no one cheering,so boring..
